7.0/10

The hotel room wasn't the largest I've stayed in and was extremely warm. The service was a mix of untrained staff without guidance and really lovely, down-to-earth individuals. The location was good but would require a car to get around as Cork is a big city with plenty to do. The dining experience varied from average to delicious with standout features like the pancake machine. Overall, the hotel had its ups and downs but was a decent choice for the stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room had no central light and was very dark. It was unfortunately situated above an outdoor sitting area where people smoked, making it impossible to open my window in the evenings.
Service
7.0
The service was a mix of untrained staff without direction and really lovely, attentive individuals.
Location
8.0
The location was good for our needs but outside Cork city, requiring a car for access to places like Cobh and Fota wildlife park.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience ranged from average to fabulous, especially enjoying the pancake machine. However, some facilities like the communal toaster were not up to par, causing inconveniences.
Facilities
The hotel facilities were a mix of good and lacking in some areas.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were a bit uncomfortable with two single beds pushed together and placed at opposite ends, but having an extra bed was a bonus. The service was attentive in some aspects, like catering to my child's food preferences first, but lacking in others, such as ignoring requests for a second cup of tea. The location was industrial and not ideal for exploring on foot, but there were a few nearby shops which was convenient. The dining experience had its busy times but lacked variety in options; however, the homemade bread was a standout. Overall, the facilities met basic needs without much wow factor.

Location
5.0
The location was quite industrial and not conducive to exploration on foot, but there were a few nearby shops.
Dining
6.0
The dining area tended to get busy early on, lacking in variety, and limited to toast and cereal, but the homemade bread was a highlight.

The hotel is a decent choice overall with clean rooms and friendly staff. However, the lack of air conditioning and road noise can be bothersome. The bathroom has some issues with water leakage, and the curtains do little to block out light. The location is convenient but not as secluded as expected.

Rooms

The hotel is conveniently located, although it is not as secluded as expected. It is easy to find but situated near industrial areas, which may not suit all travelers.
Dining

The dining experience was a mix of positives and negatives. While the food selection was good, there were issues with service efficiency and temperature of the delivered breakfast.

5.8/10

The hotel room was a letdown considering the high price, with small windows and a substandard quality for a 4-star hotel; it wasn't ready until late afternoon and seemed cramped for three people with visible watermarks suggesting past water issues. The service was somewhat disorganized, with frequent redirections when ordering coffee or meals; however, the staff were extremely friendly, especially during breakfast, providing excellent food and attentive care. The location, while convenient with a short walk to the train station, had some drawbacks like being near a smoking area or situated far from the city in an industrial park. The dining experience was mixed, with some items not replenished promptly, although the staff were lovely, and the overall meal was satisfactory. The facilities, though not extensively described, appeared standard.

The hotel is a mixed bag - while the rooms were clean and ready for our arrival, the noise levels were disruptive, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. Service was top-notch and accommodating, ensuring our requests were promptly met. The location had its perks but was marred by some maintenance issues and noise disturbances. Dining options were satisfactory, with room for improvement, but the organic jams were a nice touch.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were hanging off the rail upon arrival, but once requested, the additional facilities were provided. While the cleanliness was good, the bed wasn't properly made, and the noise levels were a challenge for a peaceful sleep.

Location

The hotel is conveniently located in Cork, very close to Fota Island where we had spent the day. The sandwiched position between a business park and a busy road didn't provide the expected seclusion from the photos. The service was mixed, with attentive but untrained staff. The dining experience varied from horrendous to very good, with some delicious, made-from-scratch pizza available.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the location was a bit industrial. The service was overall helpful, but the dining options left something to be desired. The hotel facilities were satisfactory, while the pricing seemed a bit off for what was offered.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were clean and comfortable, but we were given rooms at opposite ends of the hotel which was a bit inconvenient. The noise from the adjacent room was a downside, and the view overlooking the smoking area meant we had to keep the windows shut on warm days.
Service
8.0
The staff were accommodating and even upgraded us to business class, which was a nice touch. They were quick to respond to requests like providing a teapot of tea when asked.
Location
6.0
The hotel's industrial surroundings were a downside, but its proximity to Cork city was convenient. Being close to both the train station and attractions like Fota Wildlife Park and Cobh added value to the location.
Dining

The food at the Brassiere was a letdown in terms of taste and quality. The menu sent prior to arrival differed significantly from the actual offerings, and the kids' menu was limited to basic items like chips, nuggets, and pizza.
Facilities

The hotel rooms were clean and had everything you'd expect, but being adjacent to an emergency door that kept opening and closing all night was quite unsettling. On the bright side, the room had a great view throughout the hotel. The service was a mixed experience with long wait times during our evening meal, but the staff, especially the leisure staff, made us feel very welcome and even prepared goodie bags for our children. The location was convenient for visiting Cork city, Cobh, and Fota Wildlife Park, but the traffic made getting to Cork a bit challenging. Despite some cleanliness issues like dirty handrails and doors, the restaurant in the area had a good selection of dining options. The dining experience, however, had its issues as my pre-booked breakfast was delayed and served cold. The hotel facilities were somewhat lacking compared to expectations.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious with a massive bulk bed, and the bathroom had a bath as well as a shower; it was so nice that I ended up extending my stay by one more night. The hotel offers 2 adjoining rooms, which was a convenient feature. The service was outstanding, with very friendly staff who couldn't be faulted, though there seemed to be ongoing business meetings. The location, while full of children, provided easy access to the city and surrounding industry; however, it might not be ideal for a young couple looking for city-centered activities. In terms of value for money, it was great in Cork city.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious but had a strong tobacco smoke odor and lacked air conditioning. On the bright side, they were warm and cozy. The service was satisfactory, with courteous staff members but a bit lacking compared to other chains. The location was convenient for a young couple like us, allowing some adult time while the child enjoyed the club; however, there were unpleasant smells in some areas. The dining experience was exquisite, offering the best breakfast in years but a bit overpriced. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
